This story, like so many before it, begins with the sea. Our intrepid young lovers met in

Newport Oregon some 19 years ago. Fast forward to 2019, a chance encounter would

lead to a friendship and over the course of the next year, a romance would blossom.

Separated by miles but not by love, Kennedie and Beckett would grow more fond of

each other, learning and exploring together. Kennedie would move from Washington to

join Beckett in Juneau Alaska. Together, they started their life in the wild outdoors.

Beckett continued his career as a police officer and Kennedie would dabble in several

different jobs before securing her passion in early childhood learning.

In 2021, a new member of their family was introduced in the form of Bonnie, the real

Alaskan mutt. Bonnie would accompany our couple on their many adventures, Up

mountains, down valleys, traversing the ever-changing landscape, and even joining in

on a few unexpected polar plunges when the boat decided to become a submarine.

On September 17, 2023, Beckett would finally come to his senses and propose (about

time if you ask me). And thus, we are brought up to speed on the life and continued

adventure of the soon to be Savage household.
